Afgooey

AliasSticky IckyAfghan Goo

Afgooey, also known as Afghan Goo or Sticky Icky, is a hybrid strain with a complex history. The name 'Sticky Icky' is frequently used by multiple breeders to describe distinct, unrelated genetic projects, leading to significant variation in the marketplace.

About Afgooey

The name 'Sticky Icky' is applied to several distinct genetic lines, resulting in diverse profiles. Greenpoint Seeds released a version in 2024 crossing Gorilla Glue #4 with a clone-only cut of Animal Cookies. This iteration is noted for its instability, with phenotypes ranging from chocolatey and sour to those reminiscent of baked goods; it is reported to provide heavy, narcotic-like indica effects. Boneyard Seeds Norcal offers a version derived from their Icarus #1 (a triple backcross of Angel) and Angel, with flavor profiles spanning from sweet to diesel-forward. Beyond Top Shelf produced a version by crossing Glue Trap with The Cube, while Higher Love created a cross between Gorilla Glue #4 and Icarus.

Separately, Afgooey is a distinct entity with debated lineage. Users report an initial mood-lifting experience that transitions into deep physical relaxation, with some noting tropical or mango-like aromatic qualities.

Plant characteristics

Afgooey plants grow short and thick with broad fan leaves. The strain has a seven-week flowering period and thrives in both indoor and outdoor environments, particularly in warm, semi-humid climates. Indoors, it is often managed using Sea of Green (SOG) or Screen of Green (ScrOG) techniques to support the development of dense, trichome-covered buds and maximize yields.
