About Astronaut Status
Astronaut Status is an indica-leaning hybrid bred by Clearwater Genetics in Colorado, created by crossing Zero Gravity with Mai Tai #4. The strain is characterized by a dual-natured profile, combining the pungent, fuel-forward qualities of its Zero Gravity parent with the creamy, citrus-heavy influence of Mai Tai. The aroma is notably intense, featuring sharp lemon peel, diesel, and black pepper, underscored by a sour tropical note. On the palate, the smoke transitions from a sharp, gassy citrus entry to a smooth, vanilla-inflected finish. Reported effects typically begin with a cerebral, euphoric lift that encourages creativity and social interaction, eventually transitioning into a gentle, full-body relaxation that avoids heavy sedation.
Plant characteristics
The plant produces dense, golf-ball-shaped colas that display a color palette ranging from lime to forest green, often accented by streaks of deep plum purple. The buds are covered in a thick layer of trichomes and feature bright tangerine-colored pistils.
