Caramel Ice

AliasCaramelice

Caramel Ice (or Caramelice) refers to two distinct genetic lines that share a name and a sweet, caramel-forward flavor profile but differ significantly in their lineage and effects.

About Caramel Ice

The name Caramel Ice is applied to two separate strains with different origins. The first, an indica-dominant hybrid of Caramella and Super Skunk, is known for a creeping high that spreads from the head through the body, often leading to physical relaxation, stress relief, and potential couch-lock. Its aroma is characterized by sweet caramel, sour citrus, and skunk. The breeder of this version is unknown; while some attribute it to the European-based Positronic, their specific version differs from this lineage.

The second version, spelled Caramelice, was created by the Spain-based breeder Positronic by crossing Hektol with Red Skunk. While some sources classify this as indica-dominant, it is generally considered a balanced hybrid. Its flavor profile is citrus-forward, featuring notes of orange, lemon, and lime with a caramel finish. This version is also available as a Type II chemotype with a 1:1 THC:CBD ratio.

Plant characteristics

The indica-dominant version produces fat, bright green nugs accented by thin orange hairs and a heavy coating of trichomes. Positronic’s Caramelice features thick, vibrant buds with dark undertones and visible red and purple hues within the leaves and trichome structure.
