Dayshift

Dayshift is a sativa-leaning hybrid strain resulting from a cross between Captain Krypt and Chemdawg 91. The strain maintains a notable presence in the Canadian market, where its origins remain a subject of industry discussion. While Vancouver-based Kingsway—a subsidiary of Aurora—is frequently associated with the strain, it is not definitively established whether they were the original cultivators. Furthermore, there is ongoing speculation within the community that Dayshift may be a rebranded version of OG Melon, a product offered by the Aurora subsidiary Daily Special.

The strain is characterized by a fruity aroma defined by prominent notes of juicy citrus and rich spices. Users report that the effects manifest rapidly, often during consumption, beginning with a euphoric mental burst that boosts energy. While initially uplifting, the experience is frequently described as becoming hazy, with a tendency to dilate the perception of time, which may challenge tasks requiring disciplined focus.
