Diablo was created by Next Generation Seed Company by crossing Blueberry and Grapefruit with a selection of South African sativa landrace strains. The resulting profile features citrus and berry notes, often described as having a peppery, nutty finish. Users report a duality in its effects, characterized by an initial energetic euphoria that eventually transitions into deep relaxation. In 2002, the strain earned second place in the Best Outdoor Strain category at the BC Harvest Cup.
Plant characteristics
Diablo presents two distinct phenotypes. One phenotype exhibits significant vertical stretching and flowers in six to seven weeks indoors or by the end of September outdoors. The second phenotype is more compact, reaching three to four feet in height with a mid-September harvest window. Both varieties produce long, fluffy buds covered in a heavy layer of resin.
