Don Carlos

hybrid

Don Carlos is a hybrid cultivar developed by Humboldt Seed Company, commissioned by the reggae artist of the same name following an extensive selection process involving over 70 different genetic combinations.

About Don Carlos

Don Carlos is a hybrid strain resulting from a cross between Humboldt Sour Diesel and Blackberry OG. The development of this cultivar was a collaborative project specifically requested by the reggae musician Don Carlos, who oversaw the testing of more than 70 potential strain combinations before selecting this specific phenotype. In terms of sensory profile, the strain is characterized by aromas of fruit, berries, and diesel, while the flavor is often described as a blend of hash, fruit, and sour pepper. Reported experiences from users typically include a euphoric, creative boost that eventually transitions into a state of relaxed uplift.

Plant characteristics

This slightly indica-dominant hybrid grows into a medium-sized plant characterized by dense foliage. At maturity, the plant produces buds featuring a mix of purple and green hues, covered in a heavy layer of trichomes. When exposed to cooler nighttime temperatures during the flowering cycle, the plant is known to develop vibrant violet coloring. It is available exclusively in seed form, though clones may occasionally be sourced from private cultivators.
