About First Class Funk

First Class Funk, also known as FCF or Jet Fuel Funk, is a hybrid cultivar bred by Compound Genetics. It is a cross between GMO Cookies and Jet Fuel Gelato. The strain is noted for a complex aromatic profile featuring diesel, savory allium funk, and sweet skunk, with pine notes cutting through the heavier scents. On the palate, it presents earthy coffee and lemon-pepper spice, leaving a subtle sweetness beneath the savory profile. Reported experiences typically begin with an uplifted or giggly headspace, transitioning into substantial physical relaxation. While often favored for evening use, the sedative intensity can vary between batches, ranging from conversational to hazy and sleepy.

Plant characteristics

The plants are described as vigorous hybrids that exhibit significant branching and respond to canopy training. They typically require a flowering period of approximately ten weeks, though maturity should be assessed visually rather than by a set timeline. During the flowering stage, the plants can experience a notable stretch. The resulting flowers are dense and resinous, often displaying a mix of green and purple hues. Due to the weight of the colas, branch support and adequate airflow are recommended. The strain is also utilized in the production of live resin and solventless extracts, though a frosty appearance does not guarantee a specific wash return.
