Fresh to Death is a hybrid cultivar resulting from a cross between Chem D and Soap. The strain integrates the distinct characteristics of its parentage, blending the heavy, fuel-driven intensity associated with the Chemdog lineage with the cleaner, floral qualities of Soap.

On the palate and nose, the strain presents a sharp combination of citrus and pine, anchored by a dense diesel foundation. The experience is described as evolving throughout a session, moving from the initial pungent fuel intensity to a more refined, soapy clarity.
