Fugazi Funk
Fugazi Funk is a potent hybrid bred by Ziplock Seeds, combining the dense, gassy profile of LA Kush Cake with the heavy resin production and earthy funk of White Truffle.
About Fugazi Funk
Fugazi Funk is a hybrid cultivar bred by Ziplock Seeds, resulting from a cross between LA Kush Cake and White Truffle. Ziplock groups this cultivar within its White Truffle S1 breeding work. The lineage contributes a complex aromatic profile: the LA Kush Cake parentage provides a foundation of dense, dessert-like gas, while the White Truffle influence adds significant resin coverage, earthy notes, and a distinct savory funk. The scent is characterized by sour fuel, diesel, and damp earth, with secondary notes of vanilla, cream, and citrus. Phenotypic variation is common, with some selections exhibiting hazier or sweeter profiles than others.
Classification of the strain varies significantly in the market, with some sources labeling it as balanced, others as indica-dominant, and some commercial cuts marketed as sativa. Potency also fluctuates, with reported THC levels ranging from the high teens to as high as 28–31%. Reported experiences often begin with a rapid euphoric lift accompanied by giggly, creative energy, which eventually transitions into a heavier physical sensation. The intensity of this transition depends on the specific phenotype, with some remaining more animated and social while others provide a more sedative, couch-friendly effect. The strain has achieved recognition in competition, including first place for indoor flower at the 2025 Copa Cata Zona Norte and first place for Best Looking at the 2025 Up’n’Smoke Cup in Berlin.
Plant characteristics
Fugazi Funk produces medium-to-tall, vigorous plants that typically complete their flowering cycle in 9–10 weeks. The buds are dense and heavily coated in resin, often appearing nearly white by harvest. Some phenotypes may develop purple hues when exposed to cooler finishing temperatures. While the plants are generally robust, some phenotypes may show sensitivity to humidity during the late flowering stage.
