Gas Tax

hybrid

Gas Tax is a name shared by two distinct hybrid cultivars, each offering a unique lineage and terpene profile depending on the breeder.

About Gas Tax

The name Gas Tax refers to two separate breeding projects, both known for their pungent, fuel-forward profiles. The first version, bred by Archive Seed Bank, is a cross of Face Off OG #4 and Dark Rainbow #11. This iteration is characterized by a complex aroma of diesel, sour lemon rind, black pepper, and earthy pine, supported by a skunky, chemical-leaning backbone. Its terpene profile is dominated by limonene, beta-caryophyllene, and myrcene.

The second version, bred by Top Dawg Genetics and frequently found in retail markets, is a cross of Forum Cut GSC and 1-95. This variant offers a different sensory experience, featuring notes of diesel, fuel, funk, hops, sour lemon, sharp acetate, and burnt rubber.

Regardless of the lineage, users generally report an initial euphoric and uplifting mental state that gradually transitions into deep physical relaxation without full couch-lock. Because the flavor profiles and specific genetic backgrounds differ significantly, the experience can vary based on which breeder's cut is being consumed.

Plant characteristics

Gas Tax plants typically reach a height of 3–4.5 feet when grown indoors. The strain produces dense, heavily resinous buds that require consistent airflow to prevent moisture-related issues. In outdoor environments, the plants grow taller and prefer warm, dry climates with temperatures ranging from 72–80°F and humidity levels maintained between 45–55% during the flowering stage. The flowering period lasts 8–9 weeks, with reported yields of 400–500 g/m² indoors or 500–600 g/plant outdoors.
