About Golden Goat

Golden Goat is a sativa-dominant hybrid that emerged from an accidental pollination event in Topeka, Kansas. The strain was created when a male Hawaiian × Romulan plant unexpectedly pollinated an Island Sweet Skunk female, with the resulting standout plant becoming the foundation for the strain.

The name is reportedly derived from 'Golden Goat' recycling machines once common in the Midwest; the strain's aroma is said to mimic the syrupy, fermented scent of soda residue found around those machines during hot weather. Its flavor profile is a complex blend of tropical fruit, sweet citrus, sour herbs, earth, and spice, anchored by a skunky funk. Users typically report a rapid onset of effects characterized by euphoria, creativity, and social energy, with a subtle physical relaxation that does not impede mental activity.

Plant characteristics

The indoor flowering period for this strain ranges from 56 to 70 days. Outdoor harvests typically occur by late October. The strain is primarily available as a clone-only selection, as commercial seeds are not currently produced.
