About Granny Candy
Granny Candy is a hybrid resulting from a collaboration between Humboldt Seed Company and Errl Hill Extracts of Fire Mountain Farms. The strain was identified in 2020 near Humboldt Seed Company’s Eureka facility, selected as phenotype #65 from a pool of over 600 plants, and subsequently refined over two years. It is a cross of Mountaintop Mint and White Runtz Muffin. The aromatic profile features initial notes of sour strawberry and pineapple, complemented by a cooling mint layer and a gassy undertone. Reported effects include an uplifted, social state of mind accompanied by a surge of energy, which users often find conducive to creative tasks or conversation. A subtle physical relaxation is also commonly reported, contributing to its reputation as a versatile daytime option.
Plant characteristics
The plant maintains a compact stature, reaching 3–4 feet indoors and 5–6 feet when grown outdoors, and exhibits a bushy growth habit. The buds are dense and heavily coated in trichomes; when exposed to cooler temperatures, the foliage displays vivid purple and deep red hues.
