About GSC

Emerging from the Northern California-based Cookie Family around 2012, GSC—formerly known as Girl Scout Cookies—is a sativa-leaning hybrid. It is a cross between a cut of OG Kush and the breeder's own F1 Durban Poison. This pairing combines the structural characteristics and funk of OG Kush with the brighter, more energetic profile associated with Durban Poison.

Following its release, the strain achieved significant acclaim, including a first-place finish for Best Hybrid at the 2013 High Times Southern California Cannabis Cup and subsequent honors. Among the various phenotypes identified in early runs, the Thin Mint cut emerged as a particularly notable and recognizable expression. GSC has since become a primary genetic contributor to a vast array of contemporary hybrids, helping launch a family tree that remains prominent in the industry.

Plant characteristics

The plant maintains a relatively short stature despite its sativa-leaning genetics. It develops dense, spear-shaped flowers characterized by tight internodal spacing and lavender-colored calyxes, all coated in a heavy layer of resin.
