Harlequin
Harlequin is a sativa-dominant hybrid celebrated for its elevated CBD levels and balanced cannabinoid ratios, originally bred for resin production.
About Harlequin
Bred by Mr. Green of the House of David Collective, Harlequin was developed from a combination of Colombian Gold, Thai, and Swiss landrace genetics, alongside a Nepali indica. Although the project initially aimed to create a cultivar for hash production, the resulting plants became famous for their unique cannabinoid profile rather than high THC potency.
Harlequin is noted for significant chemical variability; cannabinoid ratios are not fixed, with some batches showing roughly equal parts CBD and THC while others lean heavily toward CBD. Consequently, lab testing is recommended to determine the specific profile of a given batch. The flavor profile is characterized by traditional, earthy notes, including herbs, pine, mango, citrus, and light sweetness, with some expressions featuring woody spice or tropical fruit. Users frequently report a sense of mental clarity, focus, and calm, often noting a lack of the heavy intoxication associated with high-THC flower. When the balance is CBD-forward, the experience is described as particularly light on intoxication.
Plant characteristics
Harlequin displays a mostly sativa structure with long lateral branches, narrow leaves, and open internodal spacing, tempered by its Nepali indica heritage. The plants are known for their vigor and potential for generous yields. The cultivar responds well to topping and low-stress training to manage vertical stretch. Feminized seeds are currently available from Elev8 Seeds.
