Hog's Breath, also known as The Hog, is a pungent hybrid strain recognized for its 2002 High Times Cannabis Cup victory and its distinctively earthy, cheese-like aroma.

About Hog's Breath

Hog’s Breath is a hybrid strain with a lineage reportedly tracing back to a cross between Hindu Kush and an Afghani landrace. The strain was originally bred in Tennessee by a breeder known as The Hog. For a significant period, it circulated primarily as a clone-only variety among breeders before eventually migrating from California to Amsterdam. In the Netherlands, the seed bank T.H. Seeds backcrossed the genetics to produce a seed-based version. The variety gained notable recognition when it secured first place in the indica category at the 2002 High Times Cannabis Cup. Users typically describe the experience as a tingly euphoria that transitions into profound physical relaxation, often accompanied by an increase in appetite and a tendency toward sedation.

Plant characteristics

The plant exhibits a short, bushy growth structure characterized by thick foliage. Its buds are light green in color and feature prominent orange stigma hairs. The version produced by T.H. Seeds typically reaches a height of 90 to 110 centimeters (35 to 43 inches) and completes its flowering cycle in 56 to 63 days, offering an average-size yield.
