Hollywood OG
Hollywood OG is a hybrid strain defined by a sharp grapefruit and diesel flavor profile, known for an uplifting initial onset that settles into deep physical relaxation.
About Hollywood OG
Hollywood OG is characterized by a grapefruit bite layered over diesel funk, though its genetic history is subject to multiple accounts. The most common origin story attributes the original cultivar to an unidentified Southern California breeder who crossed OG Kush with an unknown hybrid. This version is noted for a flavor profile of sweet citrus and peppery fuel, accompanied by an aroma of lemon, earth, and faint floral notes. Users report an initial euphoric rush that eventually gives way to heavy limbs and deep relaxation, though some mental clarity often persists. Reported THC for this version sits around 20%.
A second, distinct origin involves Purple Caper Seeds, which utilized a "Reeferman Cut" of Hollywood OG and crossed it with OGX F4 BX. This documented pairing establishes a clear lineage for that specific seed line, though it does not clarify the ancestry of the original cultivar. Sensory details and potency reports for this specific version remain limited compared to the original.
Plant characteristics
The original Hollywood OG is a medium-sized, bushy plant that produces compact, knuckled flowers. The buds are dark green with scattered amber hairs and a thick coating of resin. Flowering typically occurs over eight to nine weeks, with moderate yields reported.
