Developed by Compound Genetics in 2020 at their Waverider Nursery in California, Jokerz 31 (also known as Jokerz) is a cross between White Runtz and the Compound Genetics original Jet Fuel Gelato. The strain was selected for its structural integrity, heavy trichome coverage, and deep purple coloration. It gained industry recognition in 2022 when a version cultivated by Siren placed as a runner-up in the Best Indoor Purps and Desserts category at the Leaf Bowl in Oregon.

Chemically, the strain is typically characterized by a terpene profile dominated by beta-caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene, and linalool, which contribute to its gassy, sweet, and subtly spicy aroma. Users report a euphoric initial lift that transitions into a state of focused relaxation, accompanied by a flavor profile that balances diesel and pine with woody sweetness.
