Lavender Kush

AliasLavender

Lavender, also known as Lavender Kush, is an Indica-dominant hybrid from Soma Seeds, celebrated for its floral aromatic profile and multiple competitive awards in the mid-2000s.

About Lavender Kush

Lavender was created by Soma Seeds in Amsterdam through a three-way cross of Super Skunk, Big Skunk Korean, and Afghan Hawaiian. The strain earned significant industry recognition, including 1st place Indica at the 2005 High Times Cannabis Cup, 1st place Indoor Bio at the 2007 Spannabis Cup, and 1st place at the 2010 Breeder’s Cup. Users report a euphoric lift that transitions into deep relaxation, often sought for evening use. Soma Seeds notes the strain may assist with appetite stimulation, blood pressure, and sleep. Genetic testing by Phylos Bioscience on a Harborside cutting has indicated a high degree of genetic variation. Regular and feminized seeds are available from the breeder.

Plant characteristics

The plant is characterized by vivid, dark-purple coloration and a high calyx-to-leaf ratio. It is a tall-growing variety, particularly when given an extended vegetative cycle, and has a flowering period of 63 to 70 days.
