Mikado
Mikado is an indica-dominant hybrid from the Federation Seed Company, recognized for its rapid flowering cycle and distinct citrus and fuel aromatic profile.
About Mikado
Mikado was created by the Federation Seed Company by crossing Sweet Pink Grapefruit with an unknown second strain. The cultivar is characterized by a pungent aromatic profile dominated by notes of fuel, citrus, and grapefruit. On the palate, users report a flavor profile that mirrors these scents, featuring a blend of diesel and sweet citrus fruit.
Plant characteristics
Mikado exhibits nearly pure indica traits, resulting in a short, compact plant structure with thick, sturdy branching. The strain is noted for its ability to produce higher resin concentrations when exposed to increased sunlight, though it is reported to perform well in indoor environments with adequate lighting. It features a rapid flowering period, typically reaching maturity in 45 days when grown indoors or by late September in outdoor settings. The strain is available as seeds, though clones may be available directly from cultivators.
