MK Ultra was first created by the Amsterdam-based seed bank T.H.Seeds. The strain is a cross between an OG Kush female, sourced from JoshD Farms in Los Angeles, and a G13 male from Barney’s Farm. According to T.H.Seeds founder Adam Dunn, this was the first European cross to incorporate American OG Kush genetics. The name is a reference to the CIA’s 1950s-era human experimentation program. The strain gained significant recognition in the early 2000s, securing 1st Place in the Indica category at the 2003 High Times Cannabis Cup, followed by a 2nd Place finish in 2004. Users report a long-lasting, pine-forward aroma and a powerful, hypnotic physical effect.
