Papaya
Papaya is a hybrid strain recognized for its tropical fruit profile, featuring aromas of ripe papaya, mango, and a spicy, peppery finish.
About Papaya
Papaya is a name associated with two distinct pedigrees released by Nirvana Seeds, both of which aim to capture a tropical fruit and spice profile. The legacy version is documented as a cross of Jack Herer and Skunk #1. A second, more contemporary version—widely favored in solventless extraction circles for its resin production—is a cross of Citral #13 and Ice #2. Nirvana Seeds reportedly selected this second iteration while attempting to create a mango-style cultivar, but the resulting terpene profile was so reminiscent of papaya that the name was adopted instead. Regardless of the specific lineage, the strain is noted for a flavor profile of ripe fruit, citrus, and earthy herbs. Reported effects typically begin with a creative, upbeat sensation that gradually transitions into a heavier, more relaxing physical state.
Plant characteristics
The plants produce dense, heavy colas on relatively thin stems and branches. During a nine-to-10-week flowering cycle, the plants develop frosty, light green colas accented by wispy orange stigma hairs.
