Peppermint Cookies
Peppermint Cookies is a mint-forward phenotype of the GSC cultivar, recognized for its distinct aromatic profile and its 2015 DOPE Magazine Cup win.
About Peppermint Cookies
Peppermint Cookies is a phenotype of the GSC cultivar, first identified and selected by the Seattle-based Gold Leaf Gardens. The strain is noted for a pungent, sour, and minty aroma that some users describe as sharp or eye-stinging, accompanied by a heavy musk. On the palate, it offers a creamier profile than the original GSC, characterized by a sugary sweetness finished with subtle herbal notes. In 2015, the strain earned 1st place for Best Hybrid at the DOPE Magazine Cup in Seattle, Washington. Reported effects from consumers include an initial onset of giggles and energy, which often transitions into a significant increase in appetite.
Plant characteristics
Peppermint Cookies is an indica-leaning phenotype of GSC, which is a cross of Durban Poison and OG Kush. The plants grow with a bushy, leafy structure and are available only as clones. When exposed to cooler temperatures shortly before the flowering stage, the foliage develops purple hues. The strain reaches maturity in eight to nine weeks and is reported to perform well in indoor environments or outdoor settings with Mediterranean-like climates.
