Pootie Tang
Pootie Tang is a Colorado-bred hybrid known for its energetic effects and earthy profile, gaining regional acclaim after placing at the 2015 High Times Cannabis Cup.
About Pootie Tang
Pootie Tang is a hybrid strain bred in 2012 by New House Seed Co., a joint venture between Colorado growers Tierra Rojo and Paco. Its genetic lineage is reported to be a cross between the indica-leaning LA Kush and the sativa-dominant Tang Tang, the latter of which is derived from a Blue Sonja backcross. The strain is characterized by a predominantly earthy aroma and flavor profile. Users report an energetic high and an increase in appetite. Pootie Tang earned third place for Best Colorado Sativa at the 2015 High Times Cannabis Cup in Denver, contributing to its status as a sought-after regional variety that is reportedly difficult to find outside of Colorado.
Plant characteristics
While some phenotypes are reported to resemble the LA Kush parent, most are reported to display the growth traits of Tang Tang. The strain typically grows tall, producing long, dense, foxtailing buds with prominent orange stigma hairs.
