Purple Onyx
Purple Onyx is a hybrid cultivar resulting from a cross of [[ice-cream-cake|Ice Cream Cake]] and [[jealousy|Jealousy]], known for its complex berry-citrus profile and deep purple coloration.
About Purple Onyx
Developed in the 2020s and primarily cultivated by Michigrown in Michigan, Purple Onyx draws on Gelato-family genetics through its Jealousy parent. The aroma features ripe berries and citrus peel, grounded by earthy spice and a subtle nuttiness. On the inhale, the profile reveals creamy vanilla and bright floral notes that persist through the exhale. The experience is driven by a terpene profile of myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene. Users report a warm euphoria and a calming, full-body relaxation that settles in without feeling heavy, making it a frequent choice for quiet evenings at home.
Plant characteristics
The plant typically grows into a compact structure, reaching 3–4 feet indoors and 5–6 feet outdoors with a bushy habit. The buds are dense and heavily coated in trichomes, exhibiting deep purple hues that become more pronounced as the plant nears the end of its flowering cycle.
