Recon
Recon is an indica-dominant hybrid known for its complex, spicy-sweet flavor profile and reported ability to induce deep physical relaxation alongside potential mental focus.
About Recon
Recon is an indica-dominant hybrid with an ambiguous genetic history, as multiple distinct lineages are associated with the name. One prominent version was bred by DNA Genetics Seeds as a cross between LA Confidential and Cannadential. Other reported lineages include a cross of Purple Kush and Sour Diesel, or a pairing of LA Confidential and LA Cannalope, both from unknown breeders.
The strain is characterized by a spicy, earthy aroma featuring notes of black pepper, herbs, and cherries. On the palate, it offers a sweet, berry-forward flavor profile with subtle undertones of melon and soil. Users report that the effects are potent, typically beginning with a heavy, full-body relaxation that can lead to couch-lock. Some users note that if the initial wave of drowsiness is overcome, the experience can transition into a state of heightened mental focus. It is often sought out by those looking for relief from physical tension, pain, or sleep-related difficulties.
Plant characteristics
Recon plants typically exhibit a short, bushy stature. The buds are oversized and spade-shaped, displaying a green coloration with light purple undertones. The flowers are covered in orange hairs and a dense coating of amber-white crystal trichomes.
