Romulan Grapefruit
Romulan Grapefruit is a hybrid cross from Next Generation Seed Company that balances the pungent, earthy funk of Romulan with the sharp, bright citrus profile of Grapefruit.
About Romulan Grapefruit
Originally released under the name Stinky, Romulan Grapefruit was selected by the Canadian breeder Next Generation Seed Company by crossing Romulan with Grapefruit. The strain is noted for a complex aromatic profile that blends the classic, heavy funk associated with Romulan with the distinct, tart scent of freshly cut grapefruit. On the palate, the citrus notes remain prominent, though they are balanced by secondary layers of sweetness, earth, and spice that prevent the flavor from becoming overly saccharine.
Reported experiences suggest a two-stage effect. Users often describe an initial period of euphoria and social, spacey happiness. As the session progresses, the influence of the Romulan genetics becomes more apparent, shifting the experience toward a mellow, relaxed state that can lead to sleepiness with continued use. This progression gives the strain a reputation for being well-suited for evening use, despite its relatively upbeat onset.
Plant characteristics
The plants produce dense, resinous buds characterized by light green flower material, orange pistils, and a heavy coating of milky trichomes. The strain has an eight-to-nine-week flowering cycle and generally provides average yields. It is reported to be slightly difficult to grow.
