Rootbeer
Rootbeer is a hybrid cultivar from Mean Gene of Freeborn Selections, known for a complex flavor profile that balances traditional Kush and Diesel notes with the distinct, creamy spice of a classic root beer soda.
About Rootbeer
Rootbeer is a project from Mean Gene of Freeborn Selections, created by crossing Headband with OG Coffee. The lineage is deep and complex; OG Coffee contributes a foundation of earth and old-school funk, tracing back through Hollywood Pure Kush, Hindu Kush, and Black Affie. The Headband parentage introduces genetics from OG Kush and Sour Diesel.
Rather than a simple candy-like sweetness, the cultivar is noted for a profile that layers sassafras, wintergreen, and creamy soda-shop notes over a base of herbs, spice, and Kush. Users often report an initial sense of focus and creativity, followed by a transition into euphoria and physical relaxation. Due to its distinct character, it has been used as a parent for subsequent crosses, including GMO Rootbeer.
Plant characteristics
Rootbeer is a regular seed line that can be cultivated in indoor, outdoor, or greenhouse environments. The flowering period is approximately 65 days, or roughly nine weeks from the flip.
