About Sensi Star

Emerging from Amsterdam in the mid-1990s, Sensi Star established itself as a staple of the era. While Paradise Seeds has maintained privacy regarding the exact breeding recipe, the company has confirmed the presence of Afghani, Indian, and Skunk genetics, with the final expression leaning heavily toward its Afghan heritage. The aroma is distinctly old-school, characterized by damp earth, pine, citrus peel, herbs, and spice; some phenotypes are noted for a unique metallic edge that has become a signature of the strain. It lacks a sugary profile, favoring a dense, resinous, and pungent character. The strain earned significant acclaim through competition, securing over a dozen awards, including first place Bio at the 1999 Highlife Cannabis Cup, third place at the 2005 High Times Cannabis Cup, and first place Hydro at the 2010 Highlife Cannabis Cup. Reported experiences typically begin with a brief cerebral flare and a sense of euphoria, which eventually gives way to a heavier, slower body-focused effect as the session progresses.

Plant characteristics

Sensi Star plants exhibit a short, stout, and bushy growth habit with broad, indica-typical structure and tight internodal spacing. The cultivar is noted for producing dense, heavily resin-coated buds with high trichome density. Flowering typically concludes in 8–9 weeks, with some selections finishing near 60 days. Due to the density of the flowers, the plant requires careful management of late-flower humidity and airflow to mitigate the risk of mold or rot.
