Sour Diesel Bx2
Sour Diesel Bx2 is a backcross project by Karma Genetics designed to restore the specific aromatic and structural profile of the East Coast Sour Diesel cuts prevalent between 2008 and 2009.
About Sour Diesel Bx2
Karma Genetics selected their 2007 Karma Sour D cut and crossed it with the Karma Sour D BX1 to create Sour Diesel Bx2 (also known as SDBX2, Karma Sour Diesel BX2, or Tha Sowahh). The project aimed to move away from modern, vaguely diesel-scented hybrids in favor of a faithful restoration of the classic, pungent East Coast Sour Diesel. The profile is defined by an astringent, fuel-forward aroma accented by notes of hops, sharp lime, and an earthy undertone. The smoke is described as greasy and mouth-coating, finishing with a heavy, sour-gas flavor and a subtle, Afghan-like weight. Users report a rapid cerebral onset characterized by giddy energy and a clear-headed lift, which is balanced by a light physical anchor rather than heavy sedation. As this was released only as regular, non-feminized seeds, expression varies between phenotypes.
Plant characteristics
Plants typically exhibit a tall, narrow structure with significant vertical stretch. They produce oversized, dense, and resin-heavy colas that often require physical support during the flowering stage.
