About Space Queen
Space Queen is an old-school hybrid created by Vic High of Canada's BC Growers Association by crossing Romulan with Cinderella 99. Vic High sought to pair the bright, sativa-leaning character of Cinderella 99 with the heavier, pine-soaked genetics of Romulan. The resulting cultivar became a well-known BCGA release and later served as a significant breeding tool for Subcool and the TGA Genetics family.
Phenotypic variation is a hallmark of this strain. Some plants lean toward the Romulan parent with notes of pine, earth, and funk, while others favor the Cinderella 99 profile, characterized by pineapple, lemon, tropical fruit, and sweet candy. Vic High’s original documentation noted that approximately half of the population tends to favor the pine-heavy Romulan profile.
Users often report a fast, cerebral experience that is described as euphoric, energetic, creative, and spacey. This initial headspace is frequently followed by a grounding physical calm attributed to the Romulan influence. Common reported effects include feelings of happiness and arousal.
Plant characteristics
Space Queen plants typically reach heights of 100–150 centimeters. The structure can vary from a balanced hybrid form to a more pronounced sativa expression, with some phenotypes remaining compact while others exhibit significant stretch. The flowering period generally spans 50 to 60 days, with 55 days being the most common duration.
