Sunshine Daydream
Sunshine Daydream is an indica-leaning hybrid from Bodhi Seeds, known for its complex, polarizing aroma of buttery berries and sour funk, paired with a deeply relaxing, mood-lifting effect.
About Sunshine Daydream
Sunshine Daydream, often referred to as SSDD, is a hybrid selected by Bodhi Seeds by crossing a Bubbashine female with an Appalachia male. The lineage is multifaceted: Bubbashine is a combination of Bubba Kush and Blue Moonshine, while Appalachia is derived from Green Crack and Tres Dawg. This genetic background provides a foundation of fruity Kush notes balanced by a sharp, chemical funk.
The breeder identified a specific "butter cut" for its distinct aroma of berries and dairy. The flavor profile is generally characterized by a tension between sweetness and sourness, with earthy Kush and diesel-like undertones. Users often report that the scent is intense and unusual, sometimes described as pungent or "disgusting" in a way that remains compelling. Reported effects typically include a sense of happiness and mental uplift, accompanied by significant physical relaxation. While the name suggests a bright, energetic experience, many users find the strain leads to a state of deep comfort that can transition into sleepiness.
Plant characteristics
Plants are typically sturdy and reach a medium height. The flowers form compact clusters that are pale green in color, accented by yellow-orange pistils. Some selections may exhibit blue or purple hues. The buds are noted for being covered in abundant, sticky resin, with dried flower often remaining tacky enough to cling to its packaging.
