The cultivar is named for the characteristic golden hue of its trichomes. The aromatic profile is described as an intense diesel scent, complemented by notes of pine, citrus, and sage. When consumed, the smoke is reported to have an earthy, citrus-forward flavor profile that concludes with a sharp, skunky petrol finish.

Despite its sativa genetics, the plant exhibits a short, squat growth habit with significant lateral stretching, necessitating structural support. It reaches maturity in approximately 63 days indoors or by early October when cultivated outdoors. The cultivar is noted for producing below-average yields and is currently maintained exclusively through clone-only distribution.
