Tahoe OG
Tahoe OG is a potent, indica-dominant hybrid from the OG Kush lineage, known for its sharp citrus-pine profile and a transition from euphoric head effects to heavy physical relaxation.
About Tahoe OG
Tahoe OG is an established indica-dominant selection within the OG Kush family, though its precise origins remain subject to debate. The original Tahoe cut is widely attributed to the California breeder Ganja Guru and is generally regarded as a specific phenotype selection of the '92 OG Kush cut. Confusion often arises because a later seed-based version, released by The Cali Connection, was created by crossing that original Tahoe cut with SFV OG. Consequently, the strain is frequently categorized both as a pure OG Kush selection and as an OG Kush × SFV OG hybrid. It earned 3rd place at the 2011 Cannabis Cup.
The aromatic profile is distinctly rooted in its lineage, featuring sharp notes of lemon and pine layered over dank earth and woody herbs, with a pungent skunk and fuel finish. On the palate, the experience begins with bright citrus and pine, transitioning into an earthy, gassy, and funky exhale.
Reported experiences often highlight a surprising initial brightness, characterized by a euphoric and talkative head rush. As the effects progress, the experience shifts toward a heavy, loose-bodied state that can quickly lead to sleepiness. Larger doses are reported to induce a hazy, hungry, and sedative effect, making it more appropriate for evening use than daytime activity.
Plant characteristics
The plant typically grows in a short, squat stature, reaching heights of approximately 4 feet. The buds are dense and chunky, displaying a forest green coloration accented by orange pistils and a thick layer of resinous trichomes. The plant is noted for its strong aroma during the flowering stage, driven by the presence of alpha-pinene and humulene.
