Texas Shoreline
Texas Shoreline is a storied, old-school hybrid known for its intense, room-filling skunk aroma and a balanced, euphoric effect profile.
About Texas Shoreline
Texas Shoreline is a cultivar with a history rooted in 1990s Texas cannabis culture. The original iteration is a clone-only cut, with lore suggesting it originated from a selection made at a Grateful Dead concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in California. Its exact genetic pedigree remains unconfirmed, though it is widely associated with old-school Skunk genetics, with various accounts pointing toward Skunk #1, Northern Lights, or Super Skunk. Because the original is a clone, preservationists have worked the clone into S1 and backcross (BX) lines to maintain its character in seed form.
A separate, modern hybrid also circulates under the name Texas Shoreline, which is a cross between Shoreline and Skywalker OG; this version is distinct from the historic clone-only cut. The strain is characterized by a pungent, complex aroma profile featuring heavy skunk, funky cheese, sour citrus, earth, gas, and peppery herbs, occasionally with notes of sour grape. Reported THC levels typically range between 17% and 24%, with 21% often cited. Users generally report an initial cerebral rush marked by euphoria, creativity, and energy, followed by a grounding physical relaxation.
Plant characteristics
The preservation lines of Texas Shoreline are noted for vigorous growth and strong branching. The flowering period for these plants is approximately nine weeks.
