About Triangle Kush

Triangle Kush occupies a central position in the history of Florida cannabis, though its exact origins remain a subject of debate. The most prominent account, provided by the grower Origins TK, suggests the strain resulted from an accidental pollination event in 1991. According to this narrative, Origins TK acquired Hindu Kush seeds from Nevil Schoenmakers in 1989. After germinating these in Florida, a plant initially identified as female produced pollen near an air intake, inadvertently pollinating a room of Emerald Triangle plants. This event reportedly produced the seeds that would eventually yield both Triangle Kush and OG Kush. Because other longtime Florida growers have offered competing versions of the strain's early history, the precise parentage and timeline remain part of a larger, ongoing discussion regarding the origins of OG genetics.

The strain is characterized by a pungent aromatic profile featuring notes of fuel, earth, pine, and sharp citrus, complemented by woody herbs and a chemical funk. Its flavor profile mirrors these notes, emphasizing earthy gas, lemon, pine, and spice. Users often report an initial experience of happiness and euphoria, which provides a degree of mental brightness before transitioning into a more pronounced state of physical relaxation. Beyond its effects, Triangle Kush is highly regarded as a breeding staple, having left its mark on generations of modern OG and Cookies-family genetics.

Plant characteristics

The plant is reported to grow tall in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a flowering period of approximately 70 days.
