Vanilla Custard
Vanilla Custard is a hybrid cultivar bred by 808 Genetics, recognized for its heavy yields and a complex aromatic profile that balances pungent fuel and funk with creamy, dessert-like undertones.
About Vanilla Custard
Bred by 808 Genetics, Vanilla Custard is the result of crossing Haole Girl BX with Wedding Cake BX2, stacking backcrossed genetics on both sides of the lineage. Breeder Jake Britt developed the strain to produce a high-yielding cultivar that emphasizes a cream-and-gas profile. Despite its name, the strain is noted for a dominant aroma of gym-sock funk and fuel, with a softer, creamy finish.
Reported experiences suggest a potent, nighttime effect that induces physical relaxation and a dreamlike mental state, often leading to sedation. Variations exist between batches; some, such as the version from Pure Dakota, exhibit notes of toffee, honey, and sweet earth alongside an appetite-stimulating effect, while others focus more heavily on vanilla cake batter and funky gas.
Plant characteristics
Vanilla Custard features a sturdy, predictable growth structure with thick branching capable of supporting heavy flower production. The plants produce large flowers covered in oversized trichome heads. While specific training requirements are not documented, the plant's frame is considered manageable. It is noted for its ability to tolerate high nutrient volumes. Precise flowering time remains unconfirmed, as the 9–10 week window often cited is derived from the Haole Girl BX parentage rather than the cross itself.
