Vanilla Kush
Vanilla Kush is an indica-dominant cultivar known for its complex profile of floral sweetness and earthy, mountain-derived genetics.
About Vanilla Kush
Vanilla Kush features mountain roots and a pedigree that predates the modern dessert-strain trend. Barney’s Farm selected this cultivar by crossing Afghani genetics with Kashmir stock collected in the mid-1980s. Despite its name, the flavor profile is nuanced rather than one-dimensional. Vanilla and lavender lead the aromatic experience, complemented by a darker sweetness reminiscent of molasses. Notes of pine, earth, and a light citrus finish provide balance, preventing the profile from becoming overly syrupy. Reported effects typically include a cheerful, euphoric mood lift paired with significant physical relaxation. Users often note a tendency toward sleepiness and a long, unhurried finish.
Plant characteristics
The plant develops a compact, bushy frame with substantial side branches and dense colas. The flowers exhibit red and gold accents beneath a generous resin coating. The Barney’s Farm release typically reaches 90–100 cm indoors with a flowering window of 55–60 days and an indoor yield potential of 600 g/m². Outdoor maturity generally occurs in late September in the Northern Hemisphere.
