THE DISPENSE STRAIN GUIDE

Viper

sativa

Viper is a sativa-dominant cultivar of uncertain lineage, often theorized to be a cross between South Asian and Mexican landrace genetics.

About Viper

Viper is a sativa-leaning strain with an ambiguous history. While its exact origins remain unconfirmed, it is widely speculated to be a hybrid resulting from the combination of a South Asian landrace and a Mexican sativa landrace. The strain is noted for a complex aromatic profile characterized by citrus, cheese, and spice notes, while the flavor is frequently described as a blend of mint, lemon, and creamy coffee.

Plant characteristics

Viper grows as a nearly pure sativa, developing into a tall, lanky structure with thin branches that must support heavy buds. Due to its landrace heritage, the plant exhibits natural resistance to many common pests and environmental stressors. It follows a long growth cycle typical of sativas, with an indoor flowering period of approximately 70 days and an outdoor harvest window occurring in late October to early November. Under optimal conditions, it produces an average yield of up to 14 ounces per plant. The strain is available as seeds, though clones may be available directly from cultivators.
