Astronaut
Astronaut is an 80/20 indica-dominant hybrid known for its pungent, fuel-forward profile and heavy, sedative effects, resulting from a complex lineage that blends classic OG genetics with modern resin-heavy cultivars.
About Astronaut
The Astronaut, also known as The Astronaut, is an indica-dominant hybrid. Its lineage is a multi-layered cross between Skywalker OG and The Missing Link, the latter being a combination of GG4 and Gorilla Dawg. The strain is characterized by a pungent kush foundation accented by citrusy cherry top notes, earthy fuel undertones, and a sour pine finish. While it maintains a traditional OG profile, the influence of GG4 provides a distinct gassy depth. Reported experiences typically begin with a heavy cerebral onset that shifts into full-body sedation, often leading to significant couch-lock at higher doses, making it a common choice for evening use. There is a discrepancy in origin reporting: the strain is attributed to Mycotek, while separate accounts credit Thunder Farms with its creation in Portland.
Plant characteristics
The plants grow into a compact, bushy structure with dense lateral branching, reaching three to four feet indoors or five to six feet outdoors. The buds are dense, forest green, and spade-shaped, featuring thick orange hairs, amber undertones, and a heavy coating of crystal trichomes.
