Banana Punch
Banana Punch is a hybrid cross of [[banana-og|Banana OG]] and [[purple-punch|Purple Punch]], known for its prominent tropical fruit profile and a tendency toward deep physical relaxation.
About Banana Punch
Banana Punch is a collaborative effort in genetics, with multiple breeders exploring the same parental pairing of Banana OG and Purple Punch.
Symbiotic Genetics created the original cross, which served as the foundation for the selection documented by THC Design. This specific cut is noted for a flavor profile of banana candy and citrus, balanced by an earthy finish and hints of tangy orange and spice. It has been reported to test at 22.5% THC, with effects described as hazy and physically calming.
Barney’s Farm developed its own separate selection of the same lineage, classifying it as 55% indica and 45% sativa with a reported THC content of 26%. This version emphasizes ripe banana notes alongside sweet berries and sour citrus, grounded by an earthy undertone. Users report that this selection provides a pronounced body high accompanied by feelings of euphoria and creativity. Across both versions, the experience is generally characterized by a gradual onset of relaxation rather than an immediate sedative effect, often resulting in a loss of interest in strenuous activity.
Plant characteristics
The flowers of the Barney’s Farm selection develop in resin-coated clusters featuring amber pistils. The foliage is primarily green but is capable of developing purple hues. Plants are described as sturdy, reaching indoor heights of 100–110 cm and outdoor heights of 150–200 cm.
