Black Banana
Black Banana is an indica-dominant hybrid known for its distinct banana-forward flavor profile and a balanced effect that pairs deep physical relaxation with a cerebral, imaginative headspace.
About Black Banana
Solfire Gardens created Black Banana through a complex lineage, involving a cross of Black Banana 9 with a selection of Black Banana (itself a cross of Banana Fire Cookies and a Black Banana #9 phenotype). The strain was further refined by breeding a female cut with a male Banana Fire Cookies from Relentless Genetics. This cut has since been integrated into various strains, including Kimbo Kush.
The flavor profile is reminiscent of ripe bananas, accented by notes of blueberry and pine, while the aroma carries hints of warm spice, gas, and subtle grape. Users often report a dual experience: a heavy, grounding physical relaxation accompanied by a floaty, creative mental state that encourages imaginative thinking. It is frequently sought out by those looking to manage symptoms of chronic stress, fatigue, mood fluctuations, and physical tension, as well as those seeking relief from migraines or headaches.
Plant characteristics
The buds of this strain are large and spade-shaped. They exhibit a dark green coloration with prominent purple overtones, accented by orange hairs and a dense coating of amber-colored crystal trichomes.
