Black Mamba

AliasBlack Mamba #6

Black Mamba is a name shared by several distinct cannabis lineages, ranging from dessert-profile hybrids to landrace-derived sativa crosses. Because the name is used by multiple breeders for unrelated genetics, the experience and characteristics vary significantly depending on the specific cut.

About Black Mamba

The name Black Mamba refers to at least three distinct genetic lines, each offering a different profile.

Exotic Genetix created a hybrid by crossing Mint Chocolate Chip with The Cube. This version is known for chocolate and mint aromas and is advertised at 22–26% THC. A specific selection known as Black Mamba #6, hunted by 710 Labs, originates from this same cross but is noted for a creamier flavor profile reminiscent of berries and sweet cereal milk.

A second, widely circulated version is an indica-dominant hybrid often attributed to a cross of Black Domina and Granddaddy Purple. While the original breeder of this line remains unconfirmed, it is characterized by notes of dark grape and berry sweetness, damp earth, woody spice, and occasional skunky notes. Reported THC levels generally range from 18–25%, though these figures are not a verified average for one traceable breeder line.

A third, sativa-dominant iteration was created by SnowHigh Seeds using Vietnam Black and Black Congolese. This version is distinct from the others, focusing on an intense, head-focused experience derived from its landrace-heavy lineage; reliable THC figures and a detailed flavor profile remain unpublished.

Reported effects for the more common indica-leaning versions often include happiness, physical relaxation, and sleepiness. However, these reports are inconsistent across the different cuts, and the cerebral nature of the SnowHigh Seeds variety makes a general classification as a sedative strain inaccurate.

Plant characteristics

Exotic Genetix’s Black Mamba is known for developing notably dark coloration and is structured as a bush with multiple tops. SnowHigh Seeds’ version produces exceptionally tall plants that require significant vertical space. Flowering times vary drastically: the Exotic Genetix line finishes in 56–63 days, while the SnowHigh Seeds variety requires a much longer 13–14 week flowering period.
