There are two versions of the strain Blackberry Cobbler, each with unique genetic origins. The version from Oregon-based Phantom Farms is an indica-leaning hybrid created by crossing Blackberry Kush and Trainwreck. This iteration is known for an aroma profile reminiscent of its namesake, featuring notes of warm pastry, sugared berries, and ripe blackberries, rounded out by hints of spice and skunk. It is considered a potent, relaxing strain often recommended for evening use; while it is typically sedative, some consumers report feelings of arousal.

The second version, produced by The Bakery Genetics, is a balanced hybrid resulting from a cross between Blue Black (a combination of Blackberry Kush and Purple Kush) and Berry Cherry Pie (a combination of Blackberry Kush and Black Cherry Pie). This iteration was released as a limited seed drop and remains relatively rare in the commercial market.
