Trainwreck
Trainwreck is a classic Northern California hybrid celebrated for its potent mental stimulation and a distinct, pine-forward aroma profile.
About Trainwreck
Emerging from the Emerald Triangle region of Northern California in the 1980s, Trainwreck is a cultivar with contested origins. Its name is the subject of two primary legends: one suggests it was named after a train crash that occurred near the original Humboldt County cultivation site, while another attributes the moniker to the strain's rapid-onset, intense cerebral effects. Its genetic lineage is widely believed to be a three-way cross of Mexican Sativa, Thai Sativa, and Afghani Indica landrace varieties.
Laboratory analysis indicates a terpene profile dominated by terpinolene, myrcene, and limonene, which produce a characteristic aroma of lemon and pine. With THC levels typically testing between 14% and 18%, users often report an initial rush of creative energy that eventually transitions into a state of focused relaxation.
