Blackwater
Blackwater is a hybrid strain from Cali Connection, recognized for its resinous, purple-hued flowers and a flavor profile blending citrus, pine, coffee, and honey. It earned third place for Best Indica at the 2014 High Times Medical Cup in Los Angeles.
About Blackwater
Blackwater, also known as Blackwater OG, was created by Cali Connection by crossing Mendocino Purps and SFV OG. The strain is named after the Doobie Brothers song of the same title. There is a distinction in the breeding process: while the original cross utilized SFV OG, Cali Connection uses Mendocino Purps and Tahoe OG S1 to produce feminized seeds, though the resulting plants maintain their characteristic resinous, purple-hued buds regardless of the variation.
Consumers report an experience that typically progresses from giggles to deep relaxation. The flavor profile is characterized by floral and citrus notes, complemented by undertones of coffee, honey, and pine.
Plant characteristics
Blackwater exhibits vigorous growth with a medium internodal distance. The plant produces large, dense flowers that take on a dark purple coloration as they mature, and the buds are heavily coated in trichomes.
