Bruce Banner
Bruce Banner is a potent hybrid strain originating from Colorado, recognized for its heavy resin production and a flavor profile that balances diesel fuel with sweet berry and earthy spice.
About Bruce Banner
Bruce Banner was created by Jason Holck of Dark Horse Genetics. The strain is a cross between an original OG Kush cut and Strawberry Diesel genetics from Reservoir Seeds. Holck began working with the Strawberry Diesel seeds in 2006 and finalized the cross after moving to Denver, releasing it as a house strain through Delta 9 in 2008.
The initial breeding project produced several phenotypes, with the #3 and #5 selections emerging as the standout results from fewer than a dozen original seeds. Bruce Banner #3 became the most recognized iteration, gaining a reputation during the late 2000s and early 2010s for its high THC content and resinous flowers. While the #3 phenotype is characterized by its potency, the #5 phenotype is noted for a more pronounced sweetness inherited from the Strawberry Diesel parent. The flavor profile is a complex mix of diesel, earth, and OG funk, accented by notes of berry, citrus, and peppery spice. Users report an initial cerebral rush marked by euphoria and energy, which eventually transitions into a more relaxed state as the OG influence takes hold.
