Candy Rain
Candy Rain is a hybrid cross of [[london-pound-cake|London Pound Cake]] and [[gelato|Gelato]], recognized for its sugary, fruit-forward profile and deep purple coloration.
About Candy Rain
Candy Rain is a hybrid strain associated with the Cookies family. While the name is used broadly, specific selections offer a more precise pedigree; for instance, MFNY utilizes the “Uncle Mikey” Vertical Boys cut of Gelato 41 paired with London Pound Cake 75. The flavor profile is defined by sugary fruit, featuring notes of candied grape and sweet berries, balanced by creamy, floral, earthy, and lightly spicy undertones. Users report feelings of happiness, euphoria, and physical relaxation. Some selections, including the MFNY cut, are noted for an uplifting and creative quality.
Candy Rain circulates through both clones and seed releases, including selfed (S1) selections. Bradley Danks, who acquired the plant as a clone for his breeding projects, notes that seed-grown offspring can exhibit variation, making the clone’s characteristics a reference point rather than a guarantee.
Plant characteristics
The plant produces chunky buds featuring a mix of deep purple and green hues beneath a thick coat of trichomes. Observations from Bradley Danks regarding his specific selection note pronounced purple coloration and substantial resin coverage. In his indoor environment, the flowering window ranges from seven to nine weeks, with outdoor plants finishing by late September.
