Chernobyl
Chernobyl is a hybrid strain created by TGA Genetics in 2007, known for its lime-citrus flavor profile and a reputation for euphoric, creative effects.
About Chernobyl
Developed in 2007 by TGA Genetics co-founder Subcool, Chernobyl is a hybrid cross between a Bloodwreck mother—a hybrid of Trainwreck and Trinity—and a Jack the Ripper male. Subcool selected the Bloodwreck mother for its genetic stability, specifically its resistance to producing male stamens, and paired it with the Jack the Ripper male. This same Bloodwreck mother was also used to produce strains such as Queen Anne’s Revenge and Timewreck. Chernobyl was named High Times Strain of the Year in 2010. Users report a flavor profile reminiscent of a lime Slurpee or citrus sherbet, accompanied by an initial euphoric lift that encourages creativity before settling into a state of relaxed contentment.
Plant characteristics
The plant exhibits a tall growth habit with plentiful, proliferating branches. It produces moderate yields indoors, with higher yields reported in outdoor environments. Notable selections derived from Chernobyl seedlings include the Slymer and The Golden Ticket cuts.
