Golden Calyx
Golden Calyx is a name shared by two distinct sativa-leaning hybrid strains, both of which utilize [[golden-goat|Golden Goat]] as a maternal lineage.
About Golden Calyx
The name Golden Calyx refers to two separate breeding projects. The first, developed by Dumbo Electric, is a cross of Platinum Calyx and Golden Goat. This version is noted for a fruity and floral aroma profile. Reported effects typically begin with an uplifting, energizing, and social experience, which gradually transitions into a state of deeper mental and physical relaxation.
A second variety was bred by Calyx Garden by crossing Grape Calyx and Golden Goat. This selection was focused on emphasizing the aromatic legacy of its parents, resulting in a bright, tropical, and fruity flavor profile. Users report an energizing and creative high that is generally considered versatile for various settings.
Plant characteristics
Dumbo Electric’s variety is characterized by dense trichome production, featuring a thick layer of resin beneath oversized, bright orange pistils. The Calyx Garden selection displays a golden appearance, with pale trichomes and orange pistils distributed across light green foliage.
