Helado
Helado is a name shared by at least two distinct hybrid lineages, resulting in significant variation in flavor, aroma, and reported effects.
About Helado
The name Helado is applied to at least two separate genetic lineages. One version, released by Ilera Holistic Healthcare under their Ayo brand, is a cross of Gelatti and White Runtz. This iteration is characterized by a profile of sweet cream paired with pungent gas. Reported effects for this release include an initial sense of uplift and euphoria that transitions into physical relaxation.
A second, distinct version of Helado is reported to be a cross of Mochi and Runtz. This variant is associated with a flavor profile featuring creamy vanilla, tart citrus, and sweet fruit, with secondary notes of berry and earth. Some reports suggest this version may also be referred to as Pink Helado, though this alias and the attribution to breeder HeadStash Only remain unconfirmed. Users of this version have described effects that lean toward a hazy, giggly, and potentially sedative experience. Because these two versions share only a name, their aromatic and experiential profiles are not interchangeable.
Plant characteristics
The Mochi × Runtz version of Helado is described as having a compact, dense flower structure. The buds typically display forest-green foliage with purple accents, fine orange pistils, and a frosty surface. No verified botanical appearance data exists for the Ilera Gelatti × White Runtz release. There is no confirmed flowering time, height, or yield data for either version of Helado. The 60-day flowering estimate sometimes associated with the name refers to Perfect Tree’s Helado 41 (Granita × Frozay) and is not applicable to these strains.
